Additionally, one Super-Sized Golden Ticket of $10,000 will be awarded to a random donation made between November 1 and November 16.

Donations can be made here. Thank you for supporting our students and their futures!

Student/Parent Portal Change
Wednesday, November 15, 2017 10:40 AM

Please be aware of a change to the student/parent portal for the rest of the year. In the first quarter, all assessments were lumped together in one category that counted for 80% of the grade. In upcoming quarters, assessments will be broken down by their individual learning targets, with each learning target representing a percentage of the grade (totaling 80%). This is similar to what we have had in past years, but we were unable to do so first quarter this year because of a technicality in the gradebook. We are excited about this change because it allows students, families, and teachers to better analyze student progress in specific learning targets.

The other 20% of the grade will continue to be work habits/homework.

We will be going over this change with students during advisory so they know how to interpret the new look of the portal. We ask that you also check the portal once a week to see how your child is progressing.

Teachers will be informing students at the specific category breakdowns in their respective classes. These breakdowns will also be available on teachers' web pages.

If you have questions, please contact Alison Constant at alison.constant@mpls.k12.mn.us.

Intersession 2017-2018
Wednesday, November 15, 2017 10:10 AM

Intersession is coming soon! This year Intersession will be held on Thursday, December 21, and Friday, December 22. Students are previewing course offerings and requesting classes this week. They will be informed of class placement in late December. Most classes will be by grade level. We are quite excited about the range of topics and skills our classes cover. We consider this a valuable opportunity for students to learn content and skills outside the scope of our normal curriculum. To learn more about our course offerings this year, please visit our Intersession 2017-2018 web page.
