I have had the privilege of teaching Middle School Science to the students of Minneapolis since 2001. I am very excited to be teaching 7th and 8th grade Science this year at Ramsey.

I come to you as a huge Badger fan, having graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Zoology and Biological Aspects of Conservation. After a few years in the Peace Corps, I arrived at the University of St. Thomas and earned my Master's Degree in Secondary Science Teaching. I am licensed to teach Life Science (Grades 7 - 12) and General Science (Grades 5 - 8).

I aspire to challenge ALL students to go above and beyond what they are accustomed to doing, saying or thinking. Through my Master's thesis in differentiation, I investigated and practiced many strategies to challenge students. Everyday, I intend to challenge students to further themselves by partaking in concept-building labs, discussions and not giving up when things get hard or are unfamiliar.  I expect them to try their hardest and redo learning targets that need improvement. Students should leave my class with a better sense of their own work habits as well as the natural world around them.

I hope to hear from you if you have any questions or concerns. The best way to contact me is email.
