Intersession is coming soon!

We are excited to offer Intersession 2018 on Thursday, December 20 , and Friday, December 21.

Intersession is a time when we take a break from our regular schedule and allow student to immerse themselves in nontraditional learning experiences.

Each grade level runs their own Intersession model.

In sixth grade, crews will rotate through six different courses over the two-day period. Courses will include a range of activities that incorporate movement, arts, social emotional learning, and STEM activities.

In 7th grade students will request from a variety of classes that incorporate movement, art and theater, social and emotional learning, cooking, design and engineering, probability, and planning for the future.

In 8th grade students will rotate by Crew through three classes on Thursday. One will focus on movement and mindfulness, one on a community service project, and one on an artistic challenge. On Friday students will travel to Park Square, Theatre in St. Paul to see the play “A Midsummer Nights Dream”.

To fund the varied learning opportunities, we ask 6th and 7th grade families to contribute $20 per student and 8th grade families to contribute $25 per student. Your child will bring home a funding request slip on Monday, November 26, to be returned by Friday, November 30.

Thank you in advance for your support of Intersession at Justice Page Middle School!
